Percy Sleash SA- Achieving His Dreams And Changing Lives

Percy Sleash SA is one of Pretoria's most promising young individuals in the media space with a few milestones already in the bag. His drive is consistent and talent is as the water flows in the streams.

He had a good upbringing, raised by both his late parents who separated when he was nine years. He's always been energetic and full of life, even in his younger years.

Percy Sleash is currently the breakfast show host at SMU FM in Ga- Rankuwa, Pretoria. He says the main reason he got into radio was because of music

"I was doing music since 2008 & our songs were not being played on radio. After years of submitting with no luck, I then taught myself how to present. It took me less than a year. I then started sending my CV and going for auditions and the love for radio has growth beyond my expectations."

Besides his radio show, Percy is currently  focused on his NPO (Generational Hobo Homeless Drive), where he raises funds for the less fortunate living and sleeping in the streets. He has also since adopted a few orphanages and old age homes that he works with.

He believes he can do so much more if given any opportunity. This is something he feels people don't and should know about him. Beyond his talents, he believes the power of connections and networking opens doors and gets you closer to opportunities more than talent alone can.

"People i interact with on radio are the people i do business with and i make connections using the platform i get on radio.

In the same breath, Percy advices anyone with a dream or an idea to start doing it themselves before looking to anyone for help. "Don't wait for anyone to give it to you, first start by doing it yourself. Opportunities will come and find you while you have started."

He finds his strength and motivation from those he holds close and dear and often looks to them as a fuel to his dreams and aspirations."I think of my late Mom and Father. Then my daughter and the fact that no one can really back me up, believe in me or help me if I do not push harder."

To others, It might look like Percy is already where he wants to be. While having been on some big stages as an event MC, getting a role as an extra on Generations and on SABC News, his own radio show and an influence that's able to get people to dig in their pockets and cupboards to make donations.

He on the other side says he's still on his way to making his dreams come to life. This includes his very own radio station.

"My plan is to have my own radio station ( Tswaing Lokshin FM ) Which I have been busy with for the past 6 years. Then get a TV Show that will be focusing on giving spotlight to upcoming talent and more importantly, make Generational Hobo Homeless Drive, one of the biggest organisations in South Africa, this by having it reach everyone in all corners of the country 💙"

The Motswako Prince of Maftown, Sly YoHighness

It looks like Sly YoHighness might just got next as the Motswako Prince. It's now been a long while since we've had a proper Motswako wave breakthrough. Remember when the Morafe and Tuks wave hit, or when Gata lenna came out, Fifi Cooper and the late HHPs consistency and many comebacks? A lot of us have been wondering "who got next"? With the fall of guys like Notshi and KT struggling to properly cement his stance, is Sly the guy to look out for? I hit him up through the socials, to find out what he's been up to and if he really got his sight set on the throne. So how did he get into this whole music and creative space thing? He says he's always been artistic and one thing led to the other . "I love & have always loved acting. I'm very out there & funny too (yes, he is). So once I started writing I kinda never stopped, though I always felt it's a farfetched dream or whatever but I kept on writing, even if it was just for mysel

Tan89Media Tips For Emerging Talent

Attention Emerging Talent!! So, for the years that I have been dealing with and working alongside emerging talent, more so, artists. I have noticed some behavior pertaining to their brand. That could be credited to lack of experience and knowledge but it could also be ignorance and lack of proactivity. A lot of talent lacks a lot of knowledge of their industries. The very same field they want to occupy one day. Its super essential for anyone to know as much as possible when it comes to a dream they are pursuing or a skill they are great at or anything for that matter they say they are passionate about. The very basic things to know are many times overlooked and undermined and they play a huge role in how you develop as a brand, how you are perceived, and it shows just how serious or not one is about whatever it is they are pursuing. I have listed and broken down six (6) tips for emerging/ up and coming brands/ talents. Hopefully they will serve helpful to some. 1. The bas
