COLD WATERS  is the album and PdotO just dropped a message with a link to the album. No date was ever mentioned prior that. No pre orders, no promo,no hype no buzz I'm actually glad that he just woke up and dropped the album or half of Africa would illegally have it by now ( stop piracy!! So among the features,a stand out for me is one with Zubz. I got mad excited when I saw his name. Themba Ledwaba: Something between Rhythm And Poetry

"When I begun writing I started with poetry and as time went on I started writing to beats. I am an outspoken person and at the same time I am open to learning all that I possibly can, that will better me in whatever way and by doing so I get to grow with my music also." Themba started writing music in high school and a few years after he started recording. "I was never fully into the music scene until 2018 when I released my first project which is an EP titled "Mental Institution" My reason for getting into the industry is so that I can make my contribution to the art scene as an artist." He recently released his follow up EP titled "Mental Institution Rebirth" Who do you identify as creative wise(a poet who does music,an artist, rapper?) I believe that if you write then you are a poet because you are expressing yourself through writing so I am simply a poet,or an urban poet as the name goes nowadays. What was the process like when...

Your #SAHHA2019 Nominees

The South African Hip Hop Awards are taking place earlier than usual this year. They happen on the 20th of November 2019 at the Gold Reef City Lyric Theatre. This year's categories and nominees have recently been announced. The live announcement went down on Instagram and Facebook, true to this years theme which is "the revolution will be computerized" There's a couple of categories that's been canned like Kings Of Province, Crews and Graffiti. Now, looking at this year's categories and doing a lil comparison with last year's, or even further than that I Wonder if there's been any solid growth in the game and if the awards are risking becoming monotonous.. The most refreshing categories is the new entrants on Freshman category , new sound and artists on collabos and remixes at times. The rest of the categories though, seem to be a repetition of previous contenders. "Best Lyricist" is easily predictable. The list rotates around Tri...

Your dose of musical therapy with Dr. Feel

Dr Feel was born in a family that's talented and had the creative knack. His father was a guitarist, elder brothers were musicians too. He believes he was not only born within this life but also born and destined for it. He's tried swerving into another direction, going into different careers and jobs but none of them made him happy and at peace like making music. Dr. Feel has years of experience, experimenting and wins and looses too under his arm and they are the reasons he has kept on. Touching on some challenges he's faced as an up and coming Music producer and DJ, Dr Feel points out getting overlooked in some instances because no one knows who you are."Its tough because the talent and skill is there, but because you haven't been on traditional and super commercial and big mediums, you won't get the chance." He also points out financial constrains as another challenge. "You can't really move if your capital is low. You need a software, you...
