Tan89Media-When Choosing A Stage Name: make sure you choose wisely.

Tan89Media .     When Choosing A Stage Name... Choosing a stage name, an alias or an “aka” as an artist is an imperative task because it is a big part of your brand and how you want to be perceived.  It might be as simple as using your real name as or as complex as coming up with a whole new name. For example- Focalistic, Priggy Ugly, Da Mthuda, Sean Pages, Sho Madjozi, Lady Zamar or Lady Du… might have an interesting backstory too.  As an emerging talent I’m assuming you think through your name and what you want it to present and say about you and not for the mere fact that it was given or you like how it sounds. Though some stage names are names that stick from a time given by the streets, friends,...

In My Opinion- Top 5 YouTube S.A Hip Hop channels you should check out:

I've been checking out several newspoints that are strictly dedicated to covering content about the culture. Lord knows we need more of these. There's a lot of platforms that many don't realise they out there , but there's not nearly enough covering the vast that the culture has. Granted it's gonna take a while before digital media thrives to the point where these platforms become topic of conversation and it becomes a career defining moment to be on some of them, but I believe. Below are some of the platforms that I've been exposed to,so far on YouTube that cater and cover varied angels of the game and I believe they have great potential to become something great in future. In no particular favouritism order: HipHopLiveSA HHLSA is an award winning online show which originated from the Limpopo Province under the Limpshacks Movement. Artist Feature: SLK

Rankuwa or " Gompton" as they have now dubbed it,is yet to really claim it's stance in the game as far as breaking out is concerned.  It has had its time in the past  when for a moment things looked really good for the hood. Artists were popping, sessions were buzzing and the outside were coming in. Things took a chill pill and now it looks like the pill effect is wearing off. We caught up with one of it's own, to feel out his thoughts on the game, the players, his moves and where he thinks the ball is at right now. SLK is a true G-Town re presenter. He grew up under all it's strides and moves, gains and changes. Growing up like most, took to the culture during his secondary school days. Did the whole spitting famous rappers lines, till he took to the pen in 2011 and scripted his own. Met up with a few locals, who connected him with few more others, and he's never looked back. He has entered #BeatMakersMarket "Beat maker of the year" competiti...
