Solo Rider: Hard work is the answer

Solo Rider, an up and coming rapper from Limpopo Province but currently residing  in Tembisa, is all about the virtue of patience and putting in the work because "talent can't surpass hard work." He believes that If it's meant to be,it needs to be worked on,to become. His hunger for success in the music industry is what's been pushing him to work hard & be one of the best upcoming rappers ultimately breaking out into the mainstream. Real name, Ramokone Solomon Kamogelo,Solo started loving the rap culture in 2010. He then continued on learning and getting familiar with the ways of the culture. He then graduated from spectator to player when he picked up the mic. He started rapping in 2016 and he says the journey has been interesting and filled with learning moments Solo Rider is currently working on his EP titled "Adventurous Path" which he'll drop next year. He describes his music as being "therapeutic and motivational". So

Your #SAHHA2019 Nominees

The South African Hip Hop Awards are taking place earlier than usual this year. They happen on the 20th of November 2019 at the Gold Reef City Lyric Theatre. This year's categories and nominees have recently been announced. The live announcement went down on Instagram and Facebook, true to this years theme which is "the revolution will be computerized" There's a couple of categories that's been canned like Kings Of Province, Crews and Graffiti. Now, looking at this year's categories and doing a lil comparison with last year's, or even further than that I Wonder if there's been any solid growth in the game and if the awards are risking becoming monotonous.. The most refreshing categories is the new entrants on Freshman category , new sound and artists on collabos and remixes at times. Dr Feel was born in a family that's talented and had the creative knack. His father was a guitarist, elder brothers were musicians too. He believes he was not only born within this life but also born and destined for it. He's tried swerving into another direction, going into different careers and jobs but none of them made him happy and at peace like making music. Dr. Feel has years of experience, experimenting and wins and looses too under his arm and they are the reasons he has kept on. Touching on some challenges he's faced as an up and coming Music producer and DJ, Dr Feel points out getting overlooked in some instances because no one knows who you are."Its tough because the talent and skill is there, but because you haven't been on traditional and super commercial and big mediums,you won't get the chance." He also points out financial constrains as another challenge. "You can't really move if your capital is low. You need a software, you
